*Deposit Information*

Thanks for visiting! I am making this page to help understand how deposits work. Feel free to read through,
and if you have any questions, please email or call me. Best just to email..  If you are considering adding a
J&D's Pups to your family, please first read, so that I may better help you!  I do not mean this to sound harsh,
rather straight to the point. These are issues and questions that have come up in previous years, and this
seems the best way to address them, on one page, all together.

If you see something that interests you

I believe strongly in planned puppy hood.  . YOU MUST NOTIFY ME FIRST, and must be approved - please
do not send  a deposit with out an OK. I take few deposits on our litters, and it is first come, first pick per litter
policy. And I do not do this often!!  But if I do this is how it would go .
I will add your name to a list. Those who have made it to my list will be notified first of a litter's arrival. You will
then have a few days to choose your pup. Remember, there are others on the list, too. If you cannot choose a
pup in the time given, or are undecided, you can choose to move your place in line,
If you are very specific in your requests (sex/color), understand that I cannot guarantee what the ladies will
have, so do keep that in mind.
So I try to stay away from taking deposits on an unborn litter.

I ask for a $100.00 deposit. Remember it is non refundable!!!

Once you make your deposit you can not jump from puppy to puppy or litter to litter
Deposits are made on a specific puppy, that's it!  If you do not want that puppy,  you lose
your deposit.   Under rare situations, if there is still a puppy available out of that same litter
and  if it does not have a deposit on it.   I can make the exception to let you have the puppy
that's available.  But not from different litters.

NOTE OF INTEREST **Prices will be set after a litter is born, and sometimes  pricing will take up to 2 weeks.  I
will give you an estimated cost of what that litter may be, low end to high end, if you request, but I will not
quote exact prices.  At one point, I had tried this, and it simply did not work.  There is a protocol for pricing
located on the FAQ, so you may see what I base it on.  Prices on a whole will range between 300 - 1000.
They will not be lower, nor ever higher on our own bred pups, than these posted amounts.**

When puppies are born, this is when deposits are made, or there were more pups than deposits, they will
placed on the site, and will be available on a first deposit, first choice basis. A deposit on born pups is 100.00
to hold. I will allow 4 business days for a deposit to come in the mail.

What you need to know:

All pups are placed as pet quality , I do not register at all ..  If I do register the puppies they will have limited
AKC registration. Plain and simple, no exceptions, please do not ask. I have attempted to place pups in
breeding/show homes in the past and it has never worked to our satisfaction.
Therefore, I choose to sell our fur babies to
pet homes only.  Please make sure to read the contract and that
you understand it.  If you have any questions, ask.  You will be asked on your pick up day to sign the contract
- the same contract that is online.  You will be given the signed copy in your puppy Pack, I will retain the
original.

Visitors:

Please note that I do allow visitors to my home to meet the dogs, my family, or see where I am.  I will NOT allow
visitors when I have a lady in waiting or new born litters.  For those getting a new fur bundle, I understand that
you may be excited and would love to come and meet your new baby. You must understand, when born,
Chihuahua can be as small as an ounce. You need to know that you can carry diseases with you on your
feet/hands, etc.   That you may be unaware of !!!     Many people do not know this. Therefore, in order to
obtain extreme sanitation and without putting any of the precious fur babies in harms way -
no visitors at
these times
. PLEASE DO NOT ASK. When you buy a pup from me, I am here for their life, not just for the
sale!!  I have excellent recommendations, and have a few babies from previous litters right next me, as well as
in my home.
Many times I am asked if people can come here and let their pup choose them. I have to say, No!   I can not
have other pets in my yard. Sorry!   Large breeds I would agree with this to a point- a pup may choose you,
small breeds, not a Chihuahua!  New babies are socialized with dogs (big and small), cats, kids, and different
looking adults. They are used to quiet, noise, being touched, held, kissed and of course loved.  By all means
if there is babies available at 8 weeks or after, you can come and choose a pup. Otherwise, No!   You have to
put your trust in me as a responsible breeder. More and more breeders, who do not all ready have this type of
policy in place, are doing so. Check around. If you absolutely have to see your pup personally before the 8
weeks, and cannot fathom the thought of not personally seeing them and choosing "the one", then this just
may not be the place for you. There are no exceptions.  My babies health is more important than a "
sale".

I update the puppies pictures every couple of weeks or so, from birth to the 11th week, usually by Mondays,
unless I am really busy. This is quite a task, so bear with me. Most breeders will not and do not do this.  The
puppy pictures I do send them in a personal emails.. I will however, answer any and all questions about your
baby at any time, or anything else for that matter.

I do not guarantee size or color or our puppies. My best guess is based on the parents size and what their
lines have produced, and previous puppies. I do not specifically breed for the tiny type, but it happens.

Your pups are no longer vet checked before they go home.  Think about it what goes the vets office "Sick
animals". My babies stay here where it is safe They will have a health certificate. Your pup will have been de-
wormed, vaccinated. I will have begun paper training.  I do not guarantee your pup is fully potty trained, and of
course in a new surrounding there will be accidents, but I start them on papers when they begin eating on
their own.  Thus far, I have had some wonderful success.  Consistency is the key, though.  I, many times, have
gotten ("purchased") pups that had no clue, about pads, paper or otherwise.  This is just one thing I like to do
to help your baby's move from my home to yours, and helps make it a bit easier on you, too.  We attempt to
do things with our babies that we saw other "breeders" were not doing.

I will let you know when your puppy can be picked up. I know when they are ready better than anyone else
Normally the pups are ready shortly after 10 weeks, not always the case, but mostly. Please do not attempt to
make your own arrangements.  Pick up is done on my schedule, all though I will work with you to the best of
my ability.   When you leave here with your new baby, I will give bag that contains food, an information
booklet, coupons, shot record, contract/health certificate, treats.

*WHAT I NEED TO SAY*

I reserve the right to refuse a sale of one of my babies to anyone at anytime. I also reserve the right to revoke
a sale of one of our babies at anytime when I feel that the adoption is not in the puppy's best interest. If this
comes to be the case after money has been put down, all of your money will be refunded. I base my decisions
on many factors.  I do not sell to puppy mills, pet shops or brokers.  These are MY babies, I am responsible
for them, and I planned them into this world.
I do not sell my babies because I have to. And I will not just sell
my babies to anyone. Though I have questionnaires, I feel it best that I also speak to you on the phone or in
person, before you get your baby. I have found more times than not, when people are not sitting at their
computers thinking about what to say, the mouth speaks before the brain thinks!

Please be honest, and do not tell me what you think I want to hear.

What do you need right away for your new baby?

I recommend puppy pads or news paper and a bed (a rounded bed with the lamb skin type material inside is a
wonderful choice). I provide you with food, so you can see what they are on, and then go out and get some
after you have your baby home and settled. Keep your puppy inside for the first 2 weeks that you have
him/her, and do not place them on the ground in an outdoor setting in those 2 weeks.  Even if your preference
is for the pup to use the outdoors, continue with the pad/papers until for those 2 weeks.  Your puppy has
been on the papers since approx. 3 weeks, and has also been given the first and second puppy shots and
been de wormed several times but has NOT been micro-chipped.

When taking them to vet. Exam,
keep them off the floor and away from other animals. Their immunities
are down from shots, and their systems can take up to 2 weeks to recover. Puppies immune systems are not
strong till they are 6 months old I highly recommend that, even though you want to show off your newbie, wait
2 weeks before introducing them around.   I, of course, am here at any time to help aid you in your training,
with your new baby, what ever you may need.  I am here for the life your baby.  When you take your baby
home, our relationship with you does not end.  I  do not think of those new puppy parents as customers...just
as "extended family".  I enjoy updates and pictures.

Let me answer your questions:

I am reputable breeder I only sell puppies
from healthy parents, and I offer a worthy
health guarantee (not just a week or two
either). Some good breeders will not offer a
guarantee.
I raise very good dogs, I do not show so I
don't need their club to have Quality,
Healthy, Socialized puppies that are up to the
AKC standards anyway, Or even  CKC, APRI,
ECT..

If you find a dog that you are truly in love with
and do not intend to show the dog, don't let
the absence of AKC papers keep you from
buying the dog. The most important thing is
that you find a dog that is healthy and comes
from a healthy loving home.

We have raised several different breeds over
the last 9 years and have had, & still have,
dogs registered with both AKC and CKC. The
registration papers have never made a
difference in the quality of dogs that we have
raised. The idea that AKC registered dogs
are better is completely false and ridiculous. I
sell for companion and pet quality.. NO
SHOW puppies here.
Lot of breeders do not use AKC because the
aggravation and cost of registering their dog,
a litter, DNA testing, and selling the puppy
and than the new owner has to register the
puppy..  is just not worth the hassle.(Mostly
the aggravation) When you look for a dog,
spend some time with or talking with the
breeder and talking about  their dogs and
learn as much as you can about the person
that raises the dogs, and the cleanliness of
their environment, and the personality of the
dogs' parents,   I sell them also without
papers because I can let them go for less
money, I have had several buyers find they
never register their puppy  ..

I have good tempered pets. The quality of a
dog isn't always based on the pedigree,
although in showing,and breeding, of-course,
to have show quality pups, a good pedigree
is a necessity. Whether it is AKC or CKC
matters only to certain individuals. Just
meaning the pup's pedigree when being bred
for show would be more desirable to have
more Champion sires and dams than not. But
that's if you really are looking for a show dog.
Which, as someone else did mention, is hard
to really tell when the dog is still a puppy. If
you want a good pet, look for a good
temperament. If you get a puppy who is
sweet, good natured and unafraid being
really friendly and the bottom line is, you will
be a happy proud owner of a happy good
natured pet. The hard part is up to you. That
would be the training LOL. Train well and
lovingly and you will have a life-long loving
friend who will never care how you look, what
you wear or drive or if your hair is brushed.

The papers will not make one bit of
difference, unless you are the type who
wants to brag about your pet's ancestry. Now
THAT you will pay more for. LOL
